Grand 9 Days Trip from Marrakech to Zagora
At Berber Camp Merzouga Company we created this 9 days desert tour from Marrakech back to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, Zagora, Mhamid and Erg Chegaga for travelers who interested to explore the real nomad life. During this full desert safari you will enjoy many different adventures and activites such as camel trekking, overnight stay at a traditional berber camp with all facilities available and enjoy quad bikes at the most beautiful sand dunes of Erg Chegaga.

Itinerary
Day 1 : Departure from Marrakech airport and transfer to your hotel
Depending on the flight hours, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel / riad.
Day 2 : Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait ben Haddou - Ouarzazate
Departure from your accommodation in Marrakech in the morning and departure for the High Atlas, the mountains of the Moroccan Atlas, passing by the port of Tizi N'Tichka with stops for panoramic views and take photos of the small Berber villages which camouflage themselves in the landscape. We will then continue south to the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films were shot in this spectacular stage, notably Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz...etc.
Free time for lunch in town.
We then continue towards Ouarzazate, also called "the door of the desert", which means in Berber "without noise or without confusion". Here we will see the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco. Night at the hotel.
Day 3 : Ouarzazate - Drâa Valley - Zagora
After breakfast at your hotel, we will continue our road towards Zagora. We will stop along the Draa Valley to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view that separates us. Arrival in the afternoon in Zagora and arrival at your hotel.
Day 4 : Zagora - Mhamid in quad by quads
After breakfast at your hotel in Zagora, you will start your quad adventure to Mhamid via the Sahara Desert... arriving at Mhamid, we will drop you off at your hotel.
Day 5 : Mhamid - Erg Chegaga
Today, full day to explore the desert of Mhamid and Erg Chegaga by quad... Dinner and overnight at the luxurious Desert Camp.
Day 6 : Erg Chegaga - Foum Zguid
After your breakfast at the Desert Camp, you will start your trip by quads in quads until Foum Zguid, where you will leave the Quad and send the night to the hotel before returning to Marrakech.
Day 7 : Foum Zguid - Marrakech
After breakfast at your hotel, we will drive you back to Marrakech passing through Ouarzazate and crossing the High Atlas mountains again, then arriving in Marrakech and dropping you off at your hotel.
Day 8 : Guided tour of Marrakech
After breakfast at the riad, you will visit all the sites of historical and cultural interest, in particular the Koutoubia Menaret; the Saadian tombs; the magnificent Bahia Palace and the Ben Youssef Koranic school. Finally, end the day by walking through the alleys of the medina and admire the various craftsmen who practice their trade before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna square. Lunch in a restaurant near the square, then in the afternoon, visit the gardens of Majorelle and small tour in Gueliz, the new city of Marrakech. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to explore the square, which is animated by magicians, storytellers, dentists and food vendors. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 9 : Marrakech transfer to the airport
Depending on your flights, we will transfer you to the airport and at the end of our services.
